Most girls have a strong bond with their mothers. This is something that happens straight after birth. Us girls rely on our mothers for advice, for guidance and most of all for their love and friendship.

Being an only child, my mum and I have ALWAYS been super close. She was told she would never have children, but she had me. So her will to fight and break the rules came early on.

My mum raised me for a long time as a single parent. She provided for me, she instilled some amazing traits in me and she really, really became my role model.

I also noticed that my finger tips were getting like pins and needles throughout the day and of course I put this down to my spinal cord injury playing havoc with my body.

I did a lot of research about how horses help people heal and soon realised this would be a whole different kind of therapy for me.

I am always one for finding alternatives to taking medication and credit this life choice to why I am making such a great recovery from spinal cord injury.

After reading and watching this mans story it’s fair to say, if he can do it, so can I!

Hey Guys,

I can’t believe Christmas is literally right around the corner! This year has just flown and although I am very proud of the things that I have achieved this year, I really also am looking forward to this year being over.

Last year was all about independence for me. Moving out of home, driving again etc., and even though I achieved these things, I got very sick and had quite a lot of hospital visits with a few close calls. Death was cheated yet again! I have pretty much convinced myself that there is definitely someone watching over me, and although I am not a religious person, I really have a newfound belief in god.
